The Church's ancient liturgical music, taught and sung within the school day.
Sacred Drama
Theatre arts in the weekly schedule, staging the same stories the Core is reading.
Iconography
The iconography program is led by Kh. Cayce-Marie Halsell — an iconographer trained under Dr. George Kordis, working under the blessing of Metropolitan Saba — through weekly Orthodox Studio Art and periodic workshop intensives, when the schedule opens into extended studio blocks for sustained work.
Her vision reaches beyond the icon board: forming well-rounded artists who can serve the Church through icons, fabrics, architecture, and more — a sanctified study of the studio arts, with God as the object of beauty, of study, and of affection.
Byzantine Chant
Chant is taught weekly as the Church's own music — learned by ear and by notation, and then actually sung in the services. What students practice in class, they offer in worship; during Holy Week, the youth prepare and chant the Lamentations themselves.
Sacred drama and the other arts join the same trimester's conversation as the Core, staging and singing the very stories the students are reading.
